Our sustainability strategy is driven by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, which profoundly motivates us to set the highest standards across our supply chain. This initiative supports our efforts to reduce the potential negative environmental impacts of our business and implement practices that bring about social and environmental benefits.
We are committed to responsibly sourcing all materials used in the production of our products, including innovative and unique sustainable materials resulting from technological advancements and continuous research. We continuously assess all our suppliers to ensure they adhere to our sustainability standards.
While we are fully committed to achieving our sustainability goals for each of our products, we also recognise that this takes time, and we need to set realistic targets to encourage and support progress and improvements. With every new collection, we come closer to achieving our dream of being fully sustainable and improving our goals.
Each of our products is evidence of our hard work, and we list their sustainable attributes to provide our customers with clear and transparent information about what we have accomplished.
OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS WITH OUR LEATHER PARTNER DANI
We are dedicated to responsibly sourcing all materials used in our products and are proud to announce our partnership with DANI, a sustainable tannery in Italy. For several seasons, we have sourced our leather from DANI, which ensures its leather is fully traceable, ethical, and certified by the Leather Working Group. The tannery follows a carbon-reduction strategy and does not contribute to deforestation.
We are proud to share that DANI is the only company in its sector to have been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Sustainability rating. EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading sustainability rating platforms, assessing a company’s ability to manage environmental, human rights, ethical, and sustainable procurement standards within its specific sector.
To further minimise our environmental impact, we offset our carbon emissions with DANI through a United Nations green project. This collaboration reflects our commitment to conscious design, responsible sourcing, and quality craftsmanship at every stage of production.

DANI STANDARDS IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN
1. Transparency and Traceability
Gold Rated and Deforestation-Free
Our leather is sourced as a by-product of the meat industry from our partner tannery in Italy. This tannery holds a gold rating from The Leather Working Group, ensuring traceability of European skins and providing assurance that the leather has not contributed to deforestation.
The majority of the hides used by our partner tannery are sourced from European breeders. This sourcing strategy supports breeders who prioritise animal welfare and enables better traceability of the raw material.
Our partner supplier actively monitors the supply chain and offers:
Complete traceability from the slaughterhouse or raw hides collector to the finished leather.
Monitoring of animal welfare legislation in the European Union and its member states.
Mapping of the raw hides supply chain, tracing back to the slaughterhouse.
Regular auditing of their main raw hides suppliers.
Animal Welfare
Europe leads in the implementation of true traceability and control of animal welfare. The industries involved have developed a best practice guide for animal protection on farms, during transportation, and at the abattoir.
The hides sourced by our supplier come exclusively from certain European countries, ensuring that they meet the animal welfare standards set by the European Union.
2- Environmental Performance
The key focus areas:
The EU leather industry, where we source our leather from, has continually improved its procedures and its innovation to be more sustainable and responsible: purifying and reducing water consumption, filtering emissions and protecting the air, reducing and reusing waste, and improving energy efficiency.
Responsible Water Consumption
Our partner tannery uses less water and adheres to the standards in the "Best Available Techniques” document set by the European Union for the leather industry on minimising water consumption: 22 m3 water / ton of raw hides.
High Water Purification Efficiency
The used waters undergo purification treatments at a central water conditioning plant where pollutants are reduced to values that do not entail risks for the environment.
The purification efficiency of water discharged and sent to the purification plant is 97-99%.
Emissions in Atmosphere
Strictly comply with applicable laws, conventions and regulations.
Our partner tannery periodically monitors emissions as set forth by law, with checks carried out by an external accredited laboratory. The tests carried out on the chimneys and the solvent declarations are sent to Vicenza Province in Italy every year.
Waste Reduction / Recovery
90% from waste sent for recycling.
During waste management there are no spills or contamination of the environment.
Energy Efficiency
All electricity comes from renewable sources.
Continually improve energy management, seek new energy-efficient technologies, reducing energy waste and improving current processes to cut energy costs via the energy management system ISO 50001 that is currently being implemented.
Chemicals Consumption Reduction
Our partner tannery processes leather only from the slaughter of cattle for the production of meat for human consumption. Processing leathers from raw hides allows them to control all of the processing stages and chemical products used, as a further guarantee of quality and health of our customers and the environment.
Applying the Best Available Techniques (BAT), ensuring the emissions of the volatile organic compounds are complying with the limits imposed by the EU.
3-Certifications
Our partner tannery is adopting the best environmental and social certification schemes for transparency, responsibility and credibility. Certifications are a tool for constantly monitoring the environmental impact and gradually improving the performance towards the environment.
Product Certifications:
Animal Welfare Risk Analysis
The certification guarantees DANI customers that they use hides and skins from animals bred in compliance with current regulations and good animal welfare practices.
“Oeko-Tex” product environmental certification
Documents in a clear and transparent manner that the leather has been manufactured in a way that ensures the health safety of users.
Certifying institute: OEKO-TEX®
Certification of Raw Material Traceability CEC TS SC 410
Our partner tannery guarantees the precise and complete mapping of the origin of raw hides and skins, identifying slaughterhouses and farms.
We recover our hides from the food chain ICEC “CERT-001-2021-LEATHER CLAIM”
All hides and skins come from cattle farms for food purposes only, almost exclusively European and therefore subject to the strictest animal welfare laws. A further confirm that tannery fits naturally into the framework of the circular economy, as it ennobles a by-product of the food industry that would otherwise become waste.
Blue Angel Ecolabel
(RAL UZ 148)
Our partner tannery is certified “
Blue Angel” Ecolabel, as a result of having tested for harmful substances and guaranteeing respect of high environmental standards, stricter than the law requirements, low consumption of natural resources, and high air quality in residential environments thanks to the substantial absence of harmful chemicals in the leather.
Requirements of “Blue Angel” are established by German Environment Minister and verified by RAL (German Technical Body that manages the certification).
Leather from Italy Full Cycle
(UNI EN 16484)
The leather production chain is entirely in Italy, from raw hide to the finished leather, and accompanied by “
Leather from Italy Full Cycle” certification, enabling the monitoring of the complete process and complete control of the chemicals used during production.
As a result of this process, our partner tannery restricts the use of chemical substances considered to contain hazardous or toxic properties of customer and the environment.
Carbon Footprint of Product (ISO 14067: 2018)
Quantifies the greenhouse gas emissions along the supply chain, from farming and rearing to realisation of the finished leather.
Certifying institute: SGS
System Certifications:
